Interband Conductivity of Doped Graphene in Post-linear Response

1 Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, 15, Carpatska Str., Ivano-Frankivsk, 76000, Ukraine,
2 Vasyl Stefanyk' Precarpathian National University, 57 Shevchenko Str., Ivano-Frankivsk, 76000, Ukraine bruvinsky@gmail.com

The dynamic conductivity of the doped graphene, caused by the interband resonant transitions, is theoretically investigated depending on the frequency and amplitude of external electric field, the graphene temperature and the concentration of free charge carriers. The obtained results go beyond bounds of the first-order perturbation theory and lead to a saturation of the induced current under rather strong electric fields at the considered general conditions as with the Mishchenko theory for zero temperature and chemical potential. The nonlinear increase of the optical transparency is revealed with rise of the intensity of incident radiation for the doped graphene also.
Keywords: dynamic conductivity,  graphene, external electric field.

Positron Work Function for Metal Surface: a Role of Self-Consistency

Department of Micro- and Nanoelectronics, Zaporozhye National Technical University, Zaporozhye 69064, Ukraine

In the framework of two versions of the density-functional theory (the gradient expansion, the self-consistent Kohn-Sham equations) and stabilized-jellium model the positron work function for Al, Cu and Zn crystal faces with dielectric coating has been calculated. The obtained results are very susceptible to a self-consistency of the procedure. We show that the dielectric coating of the metal surface leads to the change in the sign of the positron work function.

Microcontact Surface Modification for Self-Assembled Nanoparticle Arrays

V.E. Lashkaryov Institute for Semiconductors Physics NAS of Ukraine, 41 Nauky Ave., Kyiv 03028, Ukraine

In present work, we discuss a simple way to pattern a flat surface with poly(vinylpyridine) (PVP) via soft-lithography technique. We explore ’put-down’ microcontact technique employing poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) resin as a stamp. CDs and DVDs were used as a master for elastomeric mold preparation. To achieve smaller scale of the pattern we also used a diffraction grating as a master. PDMS mold was dipped into the PVP solution in ethanol followed by drying of the mold and printing on clean glass or Si wafer substrates. Even better result was achieved when the mold was applied to a thin PVP layer poured onto glass surface and then transferred to another substrate. Those polymer patterns were used for assembling of 100 nm silver nanoparticles. The described approach can be effectively used for the fabrication of various nanostructures.
Keywords: nanolithography, silver nanoparticles, optical spectra, localized plasmon resonance.

TiO2 - based functional coatings doped with Сu nanoparticles were prepared via template assisted sol-gel method. The films were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Prepared coatings with anatase structure (sizes of crystallites 8-15 nm depending on Cu concentration) have a high optical quality and mechanical stability. Cu2+ ions introduction into titania precursor sol accelerate TiO2 crystallisation and improved photocatalytic activity of Cu/TiO2 films in the process of Cr(VI) to Cr(III) photoreduction up to 7% Cu content. Further increase of Cu content leads to decrease of photocatalytic activity.

Physical and Chemical Copper Plating Processes of Carbon Fibers based on Hydrate Cellulose and Influence them on Change the Microroughness of Conjugated Surfaces the Polymer Composite – Metal in Friction and Wear

Vasyl Stefanyk’ Precarpathian National University, 57, Shevchenko Str., Ivano-Frankivsk, 76025, Ukraine Tel. (0342) 77.64.15; (096) 813.93.53, e-mail:orijant@gmail.com

It has been shown that the allocation of heights of peaks and average curvature in the peaks microirregularities surfaces of samples of polymer composites and metal counterfaces depend on the initial moments of the spectral density and the formation on the conjugated metal surfaces of the intermediate films. These allocations change in friction and wear of the friction way from 0 to 1200 km, with the change of allocations is oscillatory in nature, approaching and keeping away from the normal allocation Gauss. Coatings of carbon fibers by copper by zinc technology significantly affects on the processes of formation of films on the surface of metal counterface and changes the allocation of heights of peaks and average curvatures in the peak of microirregularities as counterface well as polymer sample.
Keywords: carbon fibers, friction, wear, roughness of surface, composite polymer material, spectral density, metal counterface.

Methods and criterions of estimation of lubricating capacity of lubricants on the four-ball friction machine have been generalized. The three variants of newest methods of investigation on the four-ball friction machine have been studied. Using the newest methods, were found 2 peaks which relate to critical loading of different character – destruction of physical adsorptive layer (first peak) and chemical adsorptive layer (second peak). It has been determined that positive displacement of peaks depends on the modulus of oxyethylation of rape oil. The maximum effect occur under the sulfurization when using 3,5% S. The displacement of first peak in comparison with unmodified rape oil proceeds on 1069 N and of second – 4063-4802 N.
Keywords: rape oil, friction, wear, sulfurization, oxyethylation, four-ball friction machine.

Thermophysical Properties of Metals and Alloys: 4. Linear Coefficient of Thermal Expansion Dependence from Temperature and Radius of Atoms

1Vasyl Stefanyk’ Precarpathian National University, 57, Shevchenko Str., Ivano-Frankivsk, 76025, Ukraine Tel. (0342) 77.64.15; (096) 813.93.53, e-mail:sirenkog@rambler.ru

The dependence of linear coefficient of thermal expansion from temperature, serial number and radius of atom of metals has been analyzed and proved by correlation and regression analysis. It is shown that with increasing temperature for most metals and alloys linear coefficient of thermal expansion іncreases. Established that growth between linear coefficient of thermal expansion and the radius of metal atoms no linear connection between a metals of periodic elements at temperatures 100, 200, 300 and 800 K is close linear relationship.
Keywords: metals, alloys, linear coefficient of thermal expansion, thermophysical properties, radius of metal atoms, correlation analysis, regression analysis.

Influence of Fuel Mass Concentration and Reactions in-Pores on High Temperature Heat and Mass Transfer in Coal Dusts

I.I. Mechnikov’s Odessa National University, Odessa, 65082, Ukraine, (048) 723-62-27

The effect of the reactions in pores is studied on coal particles combustion characteristics: the ignition delay, the burning time and the temperature, the critical parameters of the particles ignition and extinction. It is established that taking into account of the reactions in-pores leads to significant decrease of the ignition delay as well as the particles ignition and extinction critical diameters and the fuel critical mass concentrations. It is shown that the fuel mass concentration range corresponding to full burn-out is appreciably larger in case of the porous particles dusts. It is found that the fuel mass concentration affects ambiguously on the dust ignition delay.
Keywords: high temperature heat and mass transfer, coal particles dust, porosity, mass concentration, ignition and extinction critical parameters.
