Absorptance Light Double Layer Quantum dot, Which Has a Form Pull Spheroid

Ivan Franko Drohobych State Pedagogical University, Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science

We investigated the energy spectrum of an electron in a core-shell prolate spheroidal quantum dot heterosystem SiO2/Si/SiO2. We used an infinite confining potential well to obtain energy levels and wave functions of an electron. Twelve lowest states are considered. A dipole momentum of the transition as a function of the quantum dot outer layer for plainly and circularly polarized light is found. The absorption coefficient as a function of the incident electromagnetic wave is shown. The comparison of absorption coefficients in spheroidal and spherical core-shell nanoheterosystems is made.

The band structure of (ZnxCd1-x)3P2 semiconductor solid solutions is considered within the framework of generalized Kildal’s band model. Analytical dependencies of band parameters on a composition x are proposed. The energy levels of free excitons and exciton-impurity complexes in (ZnxCd1-x)3P2 solid solutions are calculated by variational method. Screening effects have been taken into account using the modified Coulomb potential with dielectric function depended on distance between electron and hole. A theoretical analysis is developed for ascertaining the influence of exciton states on luminescence spectra. Comparison of theoretical and experimental results is presented.
Keywords: exciton, exciton-impurity complexes, zinc (cadmium) phosphide, Kildal’s band model, luminescence.

2Department of Computer Engineering and Modeling Processes, National Forestry University of Ukraine, 103 Gen. Chuprynky St., Lviv, 79057, Ukraine, e-mail:pirko1966@mail.ru

The spectra of absorption, ion termo inductive current and thermally conversion of color centers in crystals of CaF2-Na and CaF2-Li, X-rays were investigated. It is established that the structure of color centers in crystals fluorites depends on irradiation temperature crystal. If to irradiate the crystal at the T < 200 K, (FA-VKD) are generated in it, and if the is T> 250 K - (MA+-VKA)-complementary pairs of coloring centers are generated. Thermoactivating transformations of coloring centers happen within temperature range 210-230 K and are caused bythermo-activating digression of anion vacancy from the hole center (VKD ( VKA + VA) with the consecutive holding it bu FA-center (VA + FA ( MA). It was demonstrated that the radiation sensitivity of fluoride crystals is determined by the concentration of legging additives ans irradiation temperature of the crystal. Ivan Franko Lviv National University, 50, Dragomanov Str., Lviv, 79005, Ukraine, e-mail:bordun@electronics.wups.lviv.ua

Thin films of ZnGa2O4, ZnGa2O4:Mn, ZnGa2O4:Cr were received by RF-sputtering. Cathodoluminescent properties of this films were investigated. Findings of luminescence spectrum measuring show that received films can be used as phosphor of blue (ZnGa2O4), green (ZnGa2O4:Mn) and red (ZnGa2O4:Cr) glow colors. It was shown, based on heat treatment of films in oxygen and anoxic atmospheres, that luminescent centers in ZnGa2O4 films include oxygen vacancies. For luminescent centers analyzing oxianions (GaO6)9– were used in which Ga3+ ions in complex with neighbour oxygen vacancy, that took two electrons, considers as mercury-like Ga+–center. Dependence of luminescence intensity from electron bean current density was investigated.

Dielectric Dispersion of The Nanostructured Polycrystalline Zinc Oxide Films

Scientific-Technical and Educational Center of Low Temperature Studies, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv 50, Dragomanova Str., Lviv, 79005, Ukraine

Study of the dielectric properties of polycrystalline zinc oxide films in a wide range of frequencies and temperatures were performed taking into account the impact of the technological factors. The low and high-frequency dielectric relaxation processes in nanostructured ZnO films have been investigated. The nature of the low frequency relaxation process is connected with volume charge polarization on the grain boundary, which becomes electrically active due to appearance of the high concentration of defects at the interface volume of nanostructured ZnO in comparison with a bulk material. The high-frequency dielectric relaxation process occurs due to the thermal polarization process involving the electrons localized on the oxygen vacancies.

Modification of ZnO nanopowder was held by laser shockwave treatment and examined peculiarities of such impact with the energy density order ~108-109 W/sm2. Properties of ZnO nanopowders were characterized by means X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), scanning electron microscopy and also by Gaussian decomposition of photoluminescence spectra. The XRD results revealed that sample of ZnO nanopowder was crystalline with typical hexagonal wurtzite phase. Laser shockwave treatment helped significantly reduce the aggregation level of nanopowders. Photoluminescence spectra modification of treated samples was revealed. Decreasing intensity of green photoluminescence band was observed while intensity of the peak λ=430 nm increased when air pressure decreases to 7 Pa. Observed changes of visible emission are characterized with defect structure modification, especially oxygen defects.

The phase compositions of the lead teluride and lead selenide samples upon oxidation in dry air at 400oC are studied using X-ray diffractometry. It is concluded that only the ternary oxides PbTeO3 and PbSeO3 respectively are formed at this temperature. For PbTe also the phase transformation from α to tetragonal are observed . It is interesting to note that in this temperature range, the composition of the oxide and the rate of growth of the oxide layer correlates well with the reactivity of these compounds at the interaction with molecular oxygen, estimated on the basis of quantum-chemical modeling.

Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, 64/13 Volodymyrska str., 01601 Kyiv, Ukraine, e-mail:fesych@univ.kiev.ua

New yttrium cuprates of Y3-xCsxBa5Cu8O18+δ (0≤x≤0,2) have been synthesized by means of solid state interaction. Such compounds as yttrium and copper oxides as well as cesium and barium carbonates were used for the synthesis procedure. It was found, that the field of solid solutions of Y3-xCsxBa5Cu8O18+δ system is within the interval of (0≤x≤0,1). Cesium cuprate is formed as additional phase at high х values. Single-phase samples are characterized by orthorhombic unit cell (Pmm2). Partial heterovalent substitution of Y/Cs results in increase of total oxygen index, average degree of oxidation and Cu3+ content. Superconductive properties of cesium-containing samples are comparable with those for non-substituted Y3Ba5Cu8O18+δ (Y-358) in the field of homogeneity.

n-TiO2/p-CdTe heterojunctions were prepared using the electron-beam evaporation technique. The current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of the heterojunctions were measured at different temperatures. The temperature dependences of the height of the potential barrier and series resistance were investigated. The dominating current transport mechanisms through the heterojunctions n-TiO2/p-CdTe were established at forward and reverse biases.

Silicon (
a-Si:H)

Dep. Radiophysics and Electronics at PreCarpathian Vasyl Stefanyk National University 57, Shevchenko Str., Ivano-Frankivsk, 76018, Ukraine, e-mail:kre@pu.if.ua.

Amorphous hydrogenated silicon (a-Si:H ) - a relatively new semiconductor material that is promising to create a fairly cheap thin film photovoltaic solar energy. The first SE on the basis of this material is the structure of the Schottky barrier (BS). This allowed for a relatively short period of time (decades) for these structures get efficiency at 8-10% for CE small area. However, further development evolved solar cells based on pn junction (p & n-structure), which are used to create highly efficient SE large area with stable parameters and characteristics.
